Our office is based in Moses Lake, WA, and the majority of our work is concentrated in Moses Lake, Grant County, and the surrounding region. Structural engineering focuses on the integrity and load-bearing design of buildings and structures, including foundations, framing, walls, and roofs. Civil engineering deals with the land and infrastructure around a structure, including site grading, drainage, sewer systems, water distribution, and road design. Many projects require both, and JSL Engineering provides both services in-house, which simplifies coordination and keeps your project moving efficiently.

Structural engineers focus on whether a building is safe, sound, and code-compliant from a load and materials standpoint. Many projects require both working together. JSL Engineering also provides building design services, so in many cases we can handle the structural and design components under one roof. Yes. We regularly evaluate existing residential and commercial structures to determine what modifications are needed to safely support a remodel, addition, or change in use. This includes reviewing current structural conditions, identifying any deficiencies, and producing updated engineering drawings for permitting. Yes. We work alongside general contractors, builders, and subcontractors throughout the design and construction process. Our team coordinates directly with contractors to ensure drawings are clear, questions get answered quickly, and the project stays on track. Our Story

JSL Engineering was established in December 1996 by John S. Lovrovich, PE. He has been practicing as a licensed Professional Engineer since 1991 and holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Washington State University. For nearly 5 years, John acted as Project Manager with a local engineering firm in Moscow, Idaho responsible for a variety of civil and structural engineering projects. Prior to this, he served for nearly two years as Project Engineer with an engineering company in Lewiston, Idaho. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department and the Department of Architecture at Washington State University (WSU).

Since 2002, JSL Engineering LLC has been providing our services to clients within Moses Lake, Grant County and surrounding regions, as well as projects as far as Idaho, Oregon, Montana, and California.

About: John strives to effectively coordinate and communicate with the diverse stakeholders involved in each project. Throughout each phase of every project he works closely alongside the JSL team, contractors, and project owners to ensure that services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. 

With JSL Engineering’s focus on building design, civil and site design, and structural engineering design, John oversees and directs all aspects of project design and drafting within the company.
